2+2 programs in Business require two full years of pre-commerce or pre-professional studies before students are accepted into the School or Faculty of Business. Admission to the BCom in a 2+2 program is generally based on grades and coursework completed in the first two years. These two years of post-secondary study may be taken in other Faculties or Schools at the university, or at another institution. After admission to the Business program, the full BCom degree generally takes another two years to complete.
Prerequisite courses often include English or composition courses, math courses, and courses in economics or statistics. Other courses may be freely chosen electives. Students should consult with their chosen Business school or program department to ensure that all prerequisite courses are taken.
After the total 4 years, students graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree.
