Business Bachelor's Degree vs. Business Diploma
Business Programs
The benefits of a Business bachelor's degree versus a Business diploma greatly depend on an individual student's personal and professional goals. Undergraduate Business diplomas are for students who wish to upgrade their skills or gain an introductory qualification in a particular in field of study. Diplomas help students with a high school education gain basic managerial and supervisory, accounting and computer skills, and usually take 2 years to complete. Upon completion of the diploma, students may be eligible to transfer into a degree program in Business. Bachelor's degrees in Business, on the other hand, generally take 4 years and prepare students for grad school or employment and, depending on the major, professional certification.

The decision to take a bachelor's degree or a diploma in Business, therefore, is extremely personal and may involve factors such as finances, time and location. Both diplomas and degrees in Business are respected credentials if taken from an accredited school in the US, and both can lead to employment, career advancement or further study--simply at different levels.
