Business School Case Competitions
Business Programs
Business school case competitions give students the opportunity to show their ability to solve a realistic business challenge. Individual students or groups of students in competition with one another are provided with a case, for which they must prepare and possibly enact a solution.

Case competitions can be local, state-wide, national or international, and so offer the chance to meet people locally, nationally or internationally. Students therefore gain an excellent opportunity for networking while they test their skills. Case competitions may be focused on a particular area, such as international commerce, finance, or management.

Some well-known case competitions include the John Molson MBA International Case Competition, based out of the John Molson School of Business in Montreal, Quebec; the IKEA International Case Competition, sponsored by IKEA and held out of the Foster School of Business in Washington; the Scotiabank International Case Competition, based out of the Richard Ivey School of Business in Ontario; and the NIBS International Undergraduate Case Study Competition, hosted at different business schools world-wide.
