Business School Teaching Methods
Business Programs
Business school teaching methods may vary across Business programs in the USA (e.g., some programs are known for their use of the lecture method, the case method, business simulations, or directed study, while others emphasize experiential approaches such as field studies, consulting projects, etc.). However, students should expect to be exposed to a variety of methods regardless of the school they choose, including class lectures, case studies, business simulations, directed studies, group and project work, and consulting projects. Moreover, within the Business program, students will experience a range of pedagogical approaches appropriate to specific disciplines or fields of study (e.g. business simulations in finance versus case studies in marketing). Co-op work terms and international exchanges may also be combined with any of the above approaches.

Check out the links in the menu to learn more about each of these Business school teaching methods.
